Top 5 Technology that will Change way we Travel in Future

Updated on: May 10, 2020

The 21st century is struggling to sustain the Environment today. The widespread population, rising exploitation and lack of management of resources, both renewable and non-renewable are killing the Earth in more ways than we can list down. All such factors have degraded the Earth and its Environment to such an extent that the entire world is facing a scarcity of resources. Not just this, the pollution level is so bad that even the resources that are available in plenty have become highly contaminated and unfit for use.

Experts and scientists believe that the development of both Environmental technology and Environmental Ethics will be the backbone of a sustainable future as the population keeps rising. While Environmental Ethics is simply about developing one's mindset and personal responsibility towards the Environment, Environmental technologies are being discussed and developed to provide clean and eco-friendly alternatives to the existing ones especially Green Transportation.

Green Transportation

Current transportation systems using petroleum, diesel, crude oil, etc. have caused a wide range of problems including global warming, environmental degradation, and health implications through emission of effluents, pollutants and greenhouse gases.

Thus Green Transportation and does not have any negative impact on the immediate environment and is being developed to promote transportation practice or vehicle that is eco-friendly.

BlogSaays goes Eco-friendly!

So to improve and enhance our responsibility and performance towards the Environment, today We’ve decided to give BlogSaays an eco-friendly twist by briefing you a little bit about Environmental Sustainability and giving you the Top 5 technologies that will change the way we travel in the future.

E-Bikes

Electric bikes or E-Bikes are great modes of green transportation because they don’t release any harmful emission into the environment. A special registration, license, and insurance is required in some countries to be able to ride an electric bike. The speed of electric bikes is greatly regulated by law.

Hybrid Cars

Similar to Electric Vehicles, Hybrid cars also rely on electricity. Most of the modern hybrid cars are designed to automatically and efficiently recharge their batteries by converting energy in the course of braking.

Hybrid-Cars

Greenhouse emissions in hybrid cars are extremely low. Emissions can range from 26% – 90% lower compared to a standard fuel consuming cars. According to experts, hybrid cars cut down health-threatening emissions by over 90%.

Planes

You must be wondering “Why planes?”

When we mention planes in with reference to Green transportation, we solely mean Electric Planes. Major airplane manufacturers are now planning to design and develop the concept of electric planes and personal flying vehicles to take the future of eco-friendly flights to another level.

Boeing is one of the largest aircraft manufacturing companies in the world and it recently invested in Zunum Aero, a company working to build electric aircraft for commercial flights. By designing such flights, the company is hoping to revolutionize air travel by cutting flight times, reducing costs and amount of pollutants released into the air as well.

Scientists and engineers are trying to seek new technologies to change the way we can travel without harming the environment through quiet, environmentally-friendly aircraft for sustainable travel.

Hyperloops

A Hyperloop is a proposed mode of passenger transportation that works as a sealed tube or system of tubes through which a pod may travel free of air resistance or friction. This would help facilitate transportation at high speed while being very efficient.

It was initially conceptualized by inventor Robert Goddard and first used to describe an open-source vactrain design released by a joint team from Tesla and SpaceX.

The concept is being thoroughly processed and studied to be installed in countries like USA and India, where the proposals have reached the Memorandum and Understanding (MOU) stage with various state governments.

Boats

Majority of water vessels today are powered by diesel engines and gasoline engines. But the threat still looms that they cause widespread pollution both in the air and water. It is interesting to note that boats powered by electricity have been used for over 120 years, but haven’t really gained that much popularity because of the cost of investment and expansion.

Experts agree that the initial cost of investment may be high for electric boats, but it is just a one-time cost. Once the concept expands, the profit acquired will be much more than the investment. The scope and demand of such electric boats are very high in the future.

In the end, BlogSaays would just like to deliver a short but crucial message to all viewers:

Just relying on the Government and its laws to save the Environment is not enough. We need to imbibe and develop the right Environmental Ethics and values to save and conserve the dying Environment. We suggest any sort of transportation vehicle or transportation habit that is environmentally friendly and doesn’t emit toxic gasses that could impact the environment and human health!
