We know that Gmail is a free web-mail email service provided by Google ,most of users have their account on gmail, their are variety of features supported by Gmail and Gmail Labs which enable their users to work ,beyond the horizon.Very few peoples are using the Gmail labs to enhance their operation and readability of web mail. Today I am going to tell you some simple but most rare tips of gmail, which will help you when you are going to share your email address on cloud . Gmail DOT(.) Trick: Recently while logging to my Gmail ID by mistekly I put '.' (dot) in my username and put my appropriate password,I thought that it will give an error message ,but suddenly it took me to my Inbox, I was Amaze ! ,because according to Gmail it must reject my incorrect username. To know this issue I Google lot, some said this is BUG from Gmail and few of them said its feature of Gmail. So i decided to raise this question to Google Webmaster forum because this is only way where you will get proper remedy for your problem. After 2 days they replied me that the dot is allowed in gmail and that is not any bug of Gmail rather its feature for their users to share their single email address with different signatures. ohh.. What a Simple thing it is ! :) Friends you can also Realize this thing in your Gmail,Just put dot anywhere in between username and put your correct password and try to login; you can easily gain access to Gmail account. For Example: My username is: ReadersofBlogsaays@gmail.com and password is: XXXXX then I can gain access to my a\/c though I put DOT in my username in following fashion Username: Reader.sofBlogsaays@gmail.com Password: XXXXX Username:Readers.ofBlog.firstname.lastname@example.org Password: XXXXX Username: R.eader.sofBlogs.email@example.com Password: XXXXX See this Video: So you can use this trick for using the same email for various GPT, PTC, Twitter accounts ,forums, blogs as they interpret all the above emails as different but gmail considers it the same. 2.Gmail Plus Addresing: What exactly GMail Plus addressing is ? Suppose you have an email address like firstname.lastname@example.org. If you append a "plus" sign to your email username, gmail will ignore anything written between the + and @ sign.So any email address sent to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com will still reach your firstname.lastname@example.org inbox, though technically they are three different email signatures . When you share your email with some non familiar service, like a newsletter, Subscription services then you can supply your existing email with a plus sign. If you ever receive spam addressed to that email alias, you know the exact source that's sending the spam and can easily block all emails using a GMail filter. Note: All of above mention tips are features not a BUG.
