Performance
Let me give you a quick review of how EaseUS performs on the basis of some basic recovery tests I executed. Here is a list of demo tests I performed to test EaseUS:
- Basic deleted file recovery testing on a 518 GB, NTFS-formatted partition with used space of about 379 GB
- Recovery of a 10GB test partition
Here is a quick list of the performance and speed of EaseUS according to my test analysis.
- Quick scan (500 GB Partition): 2 seconds
- Deep scan (500 GB Partition): 1 hour, 45 minutes
- Word doc recovery: 100%
- Video file recovery: 100%
- Image file recovery: 100%
- Deleted partition recovery: 100%
The quick scan seems to only check if there’s any recently deleted content it can recover which seemingly is not a pleasant thing since quick scans most of the other data recovery software tools recover the entire directory of lost and deleted files.
Apart from these, there are some features that aren’t available in any of the EaseUS software packages. You cannot add new recoverable file types or scan by file types. The software is unable to recover lost or deleted data from optical storage like CDs and DVDs.
When it comes to scanning, EaseUS could only scan partitions, not your full hard drive. Furthermore, the tool cannot recover optical storage.

CONCLUSION!
EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard does offer some pretty impressive and useful features to tackle the most common data recovery issues for users. The tools and services do allow it to stand up as a very effective solution for most of your data recovery issues. The free version of the tool allows you to recover 2 GB of lost data, which is one of the largest free recovery quota offered by any data recovery tool I’ve come across. You can restore up to 500MB as a default setting with the free version of the software or up to 2GB if you click the share button in the wizard!
The quick scan is fast and the deep scan performed pretty well while recovering all the files I was looking for. It is flexible and can recover data from HDDs, SSDs, RAID storage, servers and even optical drives.
The overall performance of the software is satisfactory and the overall test results were also pretty decent. It will work well if you want a data recovery software for personal use. However, it does still have some areas to improve upon.
