iPhone & HTML 5 Combination App Development

Updated on: May 18, 2013

When the very first iPhone was held up for the world to see by the now late Steve Jobs on 9th January 2007 a new dawn broke over the mobile world. Each successive iPhone has been possibly the most desired and coveted device ever created. It has changed the way in which we do many things and it has inspired other companies such as Google and Samsung to follow its example and develop competing hardware and software and they also have been successful even sometimes getting ahead of the game. But ultimately it is the iPhone that was the game changer.

The iPhone has also proven to be the perfect platform for online casino gaming which is a rapidly growing market. Its super fast graphics, fast processor, brilliant high definition display and general ergonomics have encouraged online gaming developers on sites like LN to produce high quality casino games that make use of use its full functionality.
With web based games the iPhone browser offers an excellent platform for games developed in HTML5 which is now better than Adobe Flash which until very recently was the platform of choice on Android phones, though in the future they too will replace Flash with HTML5, demonstrating again that the iPhone is ahead of the game.  Many new standalone games are also being released and these are proving to be of excellent quality too; the full range of games that you might find at an online casino are not yet available for the iPhone though it won’t be long until they are.

The mobile gaming market is growing rapidly, and current projection suggests that global revenues from mobile gaming will hit $48 billion by 2015. This is a reflection on the quality of the mobile gaming experience.

  1. Hi there. iPhone supports HTML5 as well as responsive web design. 75% of US users iPhone and its popularity has been increased in such a manner like never end. Thank you so much for sharing it.

  2. While we’ve touched on native apps from a development perspective, there’s also the more important perspective: the end user. When you’re looking for an app, you’ll find it in the store. When you start the app, it fires up immediately. When you use the app, you get fast performance, consistent platform look and feel. When your app needs an update, it tells you so. Native apps give you everything you’d expect from the company that built your device, as if it were simply meant to be.

  3. Thanks for the great ideas. I had no idea you could develop an app for the IPhone using HTML5. If you want to write a native iPhone application, then Objective-C is your only option. However, as the iPhone’s web browser has a lot of capabilities (e.g. offline caching), you can develop applications that run in its web browser, as opposed to natively.

  4. Great information you have come up with.
Along with time, technology also undergoes changes, as you said Adobe Flash was the past and HTML5 is the new future. Yes it will surely speedup the app load time and total throughput.
    Thanks for sharing!

  5. HTML5 drastically reduces the cost for app development which works across different platforms up to 80% similar to native apps.To get 100%,it would be better to develop apps separately for different platforms.

  6. its a deadly combination and that is going to fulfill all requirement user. its really going to increase the overall demand of app development.
