Lets see how the Bar-Code and QR-code differ from each other,The function of QR Codes behavior is similar to a bar code system that we know so far is used to identify an object that is attached to a bar code but , QR Code can be used more widely to all kinds of needs such as newspapers ,walls, in ads and more. QR Code itself can be filled with product code (text), website address and contact information that contains the name, address and no. phone.i,e it is more informative than Bar-Code,to read the code system is in QR Code not needed a special scanning device like bar code which we used to see but enough with cell phone have functions camera plus a special software to read the QR Code.
Advantages QR Code compared with Bar codes:
- Capacity of more data which on the Bar Code can only store a maximum of 20 digits of data while on the QR Code can store up to hundreds of data.
- The data type stored by the QR Code is also varied ranging from numbers, letters and even multilingual characters.
- Print size of QR Code is much smaller because the QR Code can store data both horizontally and vertically.
- Results printed in QR Code is more resistant to damage such as dust to tear even in the QR Code data can still be read even if some of the code is damaged or torn (maximum 30% damage level).
