Affiliate World Asia 2018 : A Remarkable Affiliate Marketing Conference

The billion-dollar affiliate marketing industry is growing rapidly and spreading its wings to cover almost the entire world by creating numerous offline meeting places for the world’s top digital marketers and e-commerce entrepreneurs. One such place is the Affiliate World Conferences, where learners and entrepreneurs from different parts of the globe get to come face to face with the leaders of the internet world.
This article is to give you all an insight into my experience from the recently concluded Affiliate World Asia event that was held in Bangkok last year.
AFFILIATE WORLD ASIA
Affiliate World Asia is a sub-event organized by the personnel from Stack That Money (STM) under the super-group of Affiliate World Conferences. A large scale event at present, the first event in Bangkok was held at a much smaller scale back in 2014.
The STM group decided to take things to a pro level and started the Affiliate Marketing Conferences soon after the STM London event in March 2015, with an objective do a couple of big events every year that brings together the entire affiliate nation together, which so far they have done great!
AWA 2018
The Affiliate World Asia 2018 was a full-fledged affiliate marketing conference that was held over a period of 4 days, in conjugation with 2 more breakthrough events from 4th to 7th December 2018 at Bangkok, Thailand. These events brought together leading names and influencers from various fields of the internet industry like affiliate marketing, digital marketing, e-commerce, CPM, social media marketing and more.
The 4 days event line up at Bangkok this time was as follows:
- SheCommerce (4th December)
- AWAsia 2018 (5th and 6th December)
- E-commerce Mastery Live (ECML) (7th December)
Venue & Arrangements
The event this year was organized on a grand scale at
Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre

The previous event in 2107 was already a major success and we were expecting either the same or something bigger this year. Being organized in the same venue as last year, I initially felt pretty nostalgic once I reached the venue. That same vibe, hustle bustle and energy that makes you realize you made the right decision by booking your tickets for the event.
Centara Grand is a really plush venue for such an event and just as I had guessed, there were more than 1,000 attendees for the conference and the venue seemed completely jam-packed. Regardless of the bustling crowd, the volunteers and support crew kept their cool and were excellently supportive when it came to assistance and guidance. t was clean and hygienic. The availability of refreshments made it even better.
Centara Grand hosted AWA Bangkok for the second year in a row, posting the previous event in 2017. The venue offers great connectivity. From both major airports of Bangkok and is connected to major shopping and entertainment complexes by skywalk. It also offers easy access to the mass transit systems, thus enabling you to travel to Sukhumvit from either of Bangkok’s international airports.
- The venue is approximately a 45-min drive from Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) with the option of catching a taxi, bus or the Airport Rail Link.
- The venue is also approximately a 30-min drive from Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) with the option of catching a taxi or a bus.

The 2018 edition of Affiliate World Asia in Bangkok had a vibrant two-day market on 5th and 6th December, which was preceded by the SheCommerce event on 4th December and the ECML event on 7th December. All the attendees and delegates at the event got the opportunity to explore the companies and organizations from different fields of the internet industry and meet global influencers face-to-face.
The market days worked as the de facto social hub of the conference where over a hundred companies were represented. Industry leaders and influencers were catching up, making deals, and forging connections in all this hustle and bustle of the market. Each day of the conference offers hour-long mixers for the sole purpose of building your network.
DAY 1
The first day featured mainly of the Speeches and market tables where most of the attending speakers talked about building things or growing their businesses and their methods and strategies to make it happen. The experts made sure that the speeches were great for motivation regardless of your level and what you’re looking to achieve.
DAY 2
Day 2 began. The MobVista guys arranged with several speaker panels who shared numerous valuable insights about different things like dominating Facebook to mobile strategies and growing your business to 8 figure revenues and much more. As mentioned earlier, Day 2 ended with the networking drinks and AWA after-party, cocktail lounge and buffet, exclusively sponsored by the Diamond sponsors.
DAY 3 - E-COMMERCE MASTERY LIVE
The final day focused on the Ecommerce Mastery Live. This was a whole day workshop for e-commerce personnel and entrepreneur to learn the exact tools, tactics and leading-edge, directly applicable training to build high growth, sustainable businesses, and brands.
Networking and after-party
A nice series of networking events followed right after the formal kind of speeches and presentations. All of us celebrated the end of the show with an after-party and beer session sponsored by the diamond sponsors. Just like the last year after party, all the attendees received a marketing kit with notebooks, pens and other stuff. This also included a Hangover kit from the Mpire network guys, just in case the attendees got too drunk to wake up.
