Best places to sell your iPhone 4S & be ready to buy iPhone 5
Apple’s next iPhone is due to be unveiled on the 12th September – just under 2 weeks from now. This isn’t an official date, but we know for sure that Apple have a media event scheduled for this date, and going by information provided by reliable sources, it’s more than likely going to happen on this date.
The closer we get the iPhone 5’s release, the more the value of the iPhone 4S seems to decrease. Thousands of people will be looking to sell their iPhone 4S on for as much as possible and then upgrade to the new iPhone 5 once it’s released, so where are the best places to sell your iPhone 4S? The Price: ($29 to $289 for 16GB)
Cash for iPhones is a website that deals specifically in buying iPhones of any version, that can be the first generation, the iPhone 3G, 3Gs, 4 or 4S. They will buy iPhones regardless of their condition. Even if the iPhone 4S doesn’t power on, they will still pay you $29 for it. If your iPhone 4S is in perfect working order then you can receive as much as $289 for it from the Cash for iPhones website.
Amazon
The Price: ($120 to $415)
Amazon is offering gift certificates in exchange for your iPhone. Although $415 sounds like a very high price, you’ll only get that from them if your iPhone 4S is in truly pristine condition and you don’t mind trading in your charger too. Most handsets in good condition will earn around the $350 mark.
eBay
The Price: ($350 to $400)
iPhone’s have always sold well on eBay, and there is no change yet. The iPhone 4S is selling between $350 and $450 on eBay. If your iPhone is in mint condition then you’re likely to make more at auction. If it’s a little worse for wear and you just want a quick sale then you’ll be better off using a “Buy It Now” format auction for around $350.

The Price: ($200 and upwards)
Unfortunately there are a lot of scammers here on Craigslist, so if you decide to sell your iPhone 4S here then you need to be careful and pay attention. This is probably the best way to sell your iPhone if it’s really knackered. If you do use Craigslist, then make sure you meet at a public location – like a BANK, to avoid any possible bad situations.
RadioShack
The Price: ($75 to $250)
If you’re looking for the easiest way to get rid of your iPhone 4S and make a bit of money to go towards the new iPhone 5 in the process, then RadioShack is probably the method for you. They will give you a straight up $250 cash for your iPhone in perfect condition. If your iPhone isn’t in mint condition then the amount you get from them will be lower. Still, you’re bound to get something towards your new iPhone though!
