I know that many peoples want to share ¬†files between their friends and family, most of time we use attachment option in ¬†Email ¬†or numerous cloud based services which allow one to save and share data online with others, by using P2P file sharing services to directly transfer the file like ¬†Yousend, Rapidshare or Amazon S3.In this process we need to login to web-application ,want to provide¬†appropriate¬†information and¬†file types, most of cloud services doesn’t¬†support few file types ¬†which limit file sharing.
DirecTransFile is extremly new and powerful, portable, simple utility which enable us to send and receive files from P2P withing one click without any configuration. It enables user to upload and download files directly from their desktops. As far as security is concerned, it doesn’t involve any encryption operations but provides a small downloading code to secure data from prying eye. You just have to share that generated code with the recipient. After entering it, the recipient can start downloading files.
- How to use it
Step 1. To get start with this application you have to install DirecTransFile on both side i.e Sender/Receiver.
Download it from here.
Step2. Start  the application and it will prompt you to add an exception in Windows Firewall, click Allow  or Unblock to bring up the User Interface of application.
Step3. Now click Upload button to specify files and folders which you want to transfer remotely , and click Register to register the uploads with its server.
Step4. Once registered, it will generate short code of the upload archive. Just copy and share it with the recipient via email or IM.
Step5. On other hand the recipient just have to enter the code in download input box of application followed by specifying the output location to retrieve the data directly from your PC. A notification will pop up on recipient PC, showing entered code with message that file(s) have been downloaded at specified location if all the data will receive properly.
Note: As I told you it does’t used any encryption I suggest you don’t¬†share¬†your most¬†important¬†files from this application.
